Hi, I'm Michael Gonzalez

I've lived in Niagara Falls my whole life. I made it through the Blizzard of '77 and every famous Western New York snowstorm since. I live downtown, right along the Niagara River, and I own a local business here, FightNight Boxing Club.

Everything on this site, I've done myself. I've hiked every trail on these pages and eaten at every restaurant. So when I tell you where to get the best wings, or which stairs are worth the climb back up, it's because I've been there.

What makes this guide different

• Locally owned only. We only list independent, locally owned restaurants, bars, shops and places to stay, plus a few Western New York originals. No national chains.
• Honest picks. When we say where to get the best wings, it's because we've eaten them. Nobody pays to be ranked.
